We are happily exhausted after a busy but fulfilling weekend outdoors… On Saturday we trailered up to Bear Creek Lake State Park in Cumberland County, VA, with Eddy and Flame. We were surprised to be the only riders there, we had the entire ”CMT” trail system to ourselves. The trails were lush and green, very wooded and scenic, but with lots of cobwebs and big BUGS. Eddy and Flame did great exploring the new trails, and we look forward to going back in the fall when there are less BUGS. Sunday we took Goldie, Spice and the Little Pony to Petersburg to ride with Spice’s owners and to give him back after a month of training : ( He was a pleasure to have at the farm and we will all miss him, especially little Nemo who had grown quite attached. After that, we bathed 7 horses, played with baby llamas, then finished off the weekend with a beautiful sunset ride with Eddy and Goldie, who ponied Nemo alongside.
